Escursioni a Eastern Cape-Port Elizabeth - Addo National Elephant Park
Escursioni a Eastern Cape-Port Elizabeth: Spend a day in the wilderness, amidst beasts of all shapes and sizes, and discover the real king of the savannah: the elephant. Addo Elephant National Park, in Eastern Port Elizabeth, South Africa, has expanded to become the home of a wide and wonderful diversity of fauna and flora, including well over 550 elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard and a variety of antelope and zebra species. Remember the magical words from “The Lion King” – hakuna matata – and leave your worries behind as you are taken deep into the wild.
Roam through the enrapturing landscapes of Addo, now South Africa’s third largest national park. You can contemplate the scenario and admire its majestic animals in a terrain that stretches over more than 180.000 hectares. Explore the area and drive to the semi-arid Karoo in the north; around Darlington Dam; over the rugged Zuurberg Mountains; through the Sundays River valley; and south to the coast where the Sunday and Bushman rivers’ mouths meet.
The life of Addo has only just begun. This park, proclaimed as such in 1931 when it only had sixteen elephants, plans to integrate the islands of a marine reserve in the near future. There they will offer sanctuary to the world's largest populations of Cape gannets and second largest of African penguins. In Addo Elephant National Park, you will feel like you are far from civilisation, in the middle of nowhere, not in the realm of man but of beast.

Escursioni a Eastern Cape-Port Elizabeth - Penguin Island and Dolphin cruise
Escursioni a Eastern Cape-Port Elizabeth: Raggy Charters has been running marine eco cruises in Algoa Bay for the last 20 years. We launched Algoa Bay as the Bottlenose Dolphin Capital of the World in 2016. We have a 95% chance of seeing dolphins on the cruises and a fair chance of seeing whales from June until December. There are 22 000 African Penguins on St Croix Island making it the largest breeding colony in the world. Throughout the year there is also a chance to see penguins, Cape gannets and terns feeding on bait fish. Seals and other dolphin species are also sometimes seen.
We cruise on open motorized catamarans that are designed for conditions in the bay. Lunch is available and at your own cost. Most of the money generated from the tour goes towards marine education, penguin and cetacean research, anti-marine pollution campaigns and the rehabilitation of threatened wetlands in order to offset our carbon footprint.
