Dopo Tsukishima, vai alla ricerca delle origini della famosa monaca-yaki. La monaca-yaki, spesso paragonata ai tradizionali Okonomi-yaki di Osaka, è una sorta di frittata giapponese con vari ingredienti. Gli ingredienti vengono tritati finemente e mescolati con l'impasto prima della cottura. Avrai l'opportunità di vedere come si cucina il cibo, chiacchierare con il cuoco e mangiare il tuo nun-yaki appena fatto direttamente dal ferro caldo. Cast your eyes over the impressive National Diet Building before you start off your shopping spree in Akihabara. Seek out a bargain at Kappa-Bashi Shopping Arcade which is the go to place for bits and bobs for your kitchen. Get a look at Tokyo Tower which was inspired by the Eiffel Tower and marvel as you see people pour on the streets as all the traffic stops in Shibuya at the Pedestrian Crossing. Take a stroll up the tree lined avenue of Omote-Sando and float around the culture hub of Harajuku.
Start off bright and early in Shinjuku. We head on over to Imperial Palace East Garden where you can float around the gorgeous Japanese garden and explore the structures that date back to the Edo period. After that, go along to Asakusa which is loved by tourists from far and wide. Set your eyes on the fantastically built Kaminari-mon gate and Senso-ji temple. Then we will cruise past Tokyo Sky Tree, Asahi Beer head quarter, Ryogoku Kokugikan, Bakuro-cho, Nihon-bashi district & bridge, Yaesu, Ginza and Kabuki-sa Theater.
After that, it’s time to mosey on down to the biggest fish market in the world: Tsukiji fish market which has practically every fish you can imagine on hand. Meander around Tokyo Bay Cruise and pass by the massive Rainbow Bridge. Before we round things up, spend an hour checking out all that is about in the shopping centre: Aqua City Odaiba where you are free to treat yourself to something special. If you pick the lunch option you get the chance to enjoy the buffet style lunch as well!

The tour sets off from the Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal from where we make our way to the unmistakable Tokyo Tower, which stands proud at 333m overlooking the city. After a brush with modern Tokyo, it’s then time to take in a traditional custom with a traditional tea ceremony experience before having a Japanese-style lunch.
Next stop is the Imperial Palace Plaza to admire Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding scenery of the National Garden which forms part of the palace grounds open to the public. We continue our afternoon with a leisurely 40 minute cruise along the Sumida River for a different view of modern day Tokyo.

Visit this historic area which includes Nakamise-dori, the street leading to the temple, and head straight back into modern Tokyo with a drive through the dazzling luxury shopping area of Ginza. Hop aboard the famous bullet train, Nozomi Shinkansen, from Tokyo to Kyoto for a day discovering the sights and sounds of Kyoto. We start at the World Heritage Nijo Castle whose flamboyant style and sublime gardens are bound to impress. Then head to the striking Kinkaku-ji Temple, known as the Golden Pavilion for its sparkling exterior, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. As the former ruling palace of the Emperor of Japan, you can now enjoy a tour through the estate dating from the Edo period.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed. On these days, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. The same can be said of the period before and after the special public viewing of Kyoto Imperial Palace is held in spring and autumn, May 14 - 17 due to the Aoi Festival, during Year-end and New Year's holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event.
On Jan. 25, Apr. 25, Jul. 25 and Oct. 25, Nishi Hongan-ji Temple will serve as the alternative for Kitano Tenmangu Shrine.
On Tuesdays (or Wednesday if Tuesday is a national holiday) in January, July, August, and December and over the Year-end and New Year's holidays, Nijo Castle is closed. The tour will visit Ryoan-ji Temple instead.

Head directly from Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo in Shinjuku to Mt. Fuji! The return trip is via Shinkansen. This is the most reasonably priced tour, convenient for those staying in Shinjuku, or who do not need pick-up service.
Itinerary
Mt. Fuji 5th Station (30 min)
The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, participants will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
Lunch (50 min)
Lake Ashi Cruise (15 min)
This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji from aboard a ship.
Mt. Komagatake Ropeway (50 min)
Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.

Depart Hakone and proceed to Odawara Station by bus.
17:00 - 19:30 Odawara Station
Board the Kodama Shinkansen in the non-reserved section. The train will first stop at Shin-Yokohama and Shinagawa stations.

Please note that this alternative itinerary may be omitted from the tour depending on traffic conditions. Mt. Fuji's 5th station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing. Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason. If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following: Mori Art Museum of Hakone Glass, Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc. , but this will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason. Lunch may be a Japanese/Western style buffet in some cases. The arrival time to Tokyo Station may vary depending on the season and the day of the week due to traffic congestion. Begin by travelling to Nikko by bus from Tokyo, where on arrival we take a tour of Toshogu Shrine, one of the country’s significant World Heritage Sites. Behold its beautifully ornate and lavish design that makes it a National Treasure of Japan and see the Edo period come to life before your eyes. 400 years old, to this day you can still spot the shrine’s legendary carvings; including the three monkeys depicting the proverb ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’, as well as the sleeping cat.
After the guided tour of the shrine, you have free time to spend having lunch in Nikko and making your way to the Fujiya Kanko Center on foot. From here you catch the free 40 minute shuttle bus service to where history has stood still - Nikko Edomura. See ninjas crawling the roofs, gracious samurai and humble geisha wandering the streets, in a place where the Edo period is still living and breathing. Enjoy Oiran (Edo period courtesans) and ninja shows and walk in a replica of an old Edo town before returning to modern day Japan taking the bus to Kinugawa-Onsen Station, and onwards to Tobu Asakusa by Tobu Limited Express.

From Tokyo we travel by bus for the first part of our journey to the oft pictured and perfectly shaped volcano, Mt Fuji. Once we reach the Fuji Visitor Centre, here you can learn about the volcano through displays and films, and gain views of the volcano up close from the 2nd floor observatory. Next it’s time to travel through the clouds 7,546 ft above sea level to Mt Fuji 5th Station – nicknamed the border between heaven and earth – located halfway up the mountain.
Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch before embarking on ninety minute World Heritage Site nature walk with your guide. Stroll through the Kawaguchi Asama Shrine, a type of Shinto Shrine, where you’ll encounter the seven holy cedar trees said to be 1,200 years old. Begin by travelling to Nikko by bus, where on arrival we take a tour of Nikko Toshogu Shrine, one of the country’s significant World Heritage Sites. Behold its beautifully ornate and lavish design that makes it a National Treasure of Japan and see the Edo period come to life before your eyes. 400 years old, to this day you can still spot the shrine’s legendary carvings; including the three monkeys depicting the proverb ‘hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’, as well as the sleeping cat.
A symbol of Nikko, Lake Chuzenji was created by an eruption of Mt Nantai. Spend a few quiet minutes here to contemplate the surrounding peace and tranquility before we continue our tour to one of Japan’s three great waterfalls – Kegon Falls. Falling an impressive 97 metres, the water dramatically gushes from Lake Chuzenji in what is guaranteed to be an unforgettable spectacle. Absorb the display of natural beauty from the observation deck and return with incredible pictures etched in your mind. The tour disbands upon arrival at Sukiyabashi Intersection in Ginza.

After that, go along to Asakusa which is loved by tourists from far and wide. Set your eyes on the fantastically built Kaminari-mon gate and Senso-ji temple. Then we will cruise past Tokyo Sky Tree, Asahi Beer head quarter, Ryogoku Kokugikan, Bakuro-cho, Nihon-bashi district & bridge, Yaesu, Ginza and Kabuki-sa Theater.
After that, it’s time to mosey on down to the biggest fish market in the world: Tsukiji fish market which has practically every fish you can imagine on hand. Meander around Tokyo Bay Cruise and pass by the massive Rainbow Bridge. Before we round things up, spend an hour checking out all that is about in the shopping centre: Aqua City Odaiba where you are free to treat yourself to something special. Next stop is the Imperial Palace Plaza to admire Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding scenery of the National Garden which forms part of the palace grounds open to the public. From our meeting point we travel by Oedo Subway Line or JR Line to what is now the fashionable dining and shopping district of Kagurazaka. Take a guided walking tour along the cobblestone streets and traditional architecture to admire the remains of the Edo period. The neighbourhood is also an established entertainment district with many geisha houses dotted around the area, giving it a traditional atmosphere.
During our walking tour we go by the most important landmarks including Tokyo Daijingu Shrine, considered lucky for those seeking love, then to Ushigome Mitsuke and Ushigomebashi Bridge, along Kagurazaka-dori shopping street on to the Zenkoku-ji Temple, devoted to Bishamonten, with its bright red pillars. We head along Atamiyu Stairs into a smaller, more intimate area to Kagurazaka Wakahachiman Shrine, Koguri Yokocho, Geisha Shindo, Kakurenbo Yokocho, Hyogo Yokocho, Kousho-ji Temple, to Ushigome Kagurazaka and many more. Along the way you get to enjoy a delicious local Kagurazaka delicacy as you take in the atmosphere of the neighbourhood with its small, winding streets and alleyways.

Others: Access to temples and shrines may vary depending on what ceremonial activities that being held. The tour will not be cancelled even in the event of rain. Note that no vegetarian options are available in the izakaya. At the izakaya, participants will be provided with 1 drink (beer, Japanese sake, shochu, fruit liquor or nonalcoholic beverage) and a snack. Also, enjoy a drink while mingling with other participants. Please note that this is a standing bar. Only non-alcoholic drinks will be served to participants under 20 years of age. The izakaya may be changed if the usual location is closed on the day of the tour, or due to other operational circumstances.

Visit the Daiso 100 Yen Shop, Tokyo’s largest shop of its kind, before making our way to Cat Street – the home of Tokyo’s vibrant street fashion and youth culture.
Next is the incredible Omotesando Hills, the city’s shopping hub with over 130 shops, situated along Omotesando; dubbed the Champs-Elysées of Tokyo. The tour also visits the famous Kiddy Land Harajuku and Jingumae Intersection before finally arriving back at Harajuku Station. What’s more, the tour includes a delicious Harajuku crepe, a local delicacy, along the way which you can choose on the day of the tour.

Escursioni a Tokyo: Sumo is Japan's national sport, and the many stables around the Ryogoku area of Tokyo are arguably the best place to experience it! The Grand Tournament runs just 6 times a year, but the rest of the year there are many chances to see sumo wrestlers in action by watching them up-close-and-personal at a morning training session.
This is a great opportunity to watch sumo wrestler's serious practice and training from short distance.
Feel the sumo world and how the practice is usually done. This experience will certainly be unforgettable.
