Escursioni a Monterrey: Chipinque Ecological Parkis located in the Sierra Madre Oriental, within the boundaries of the Cumbres de Monterrey and we will have the opportunity to walk through its spectacular forest. The park's altitude varies between 730 and 2,200 metres above sea level. Both flora and fauna are representative of the region: the vegetation ranges from desert scrub to pine-oak forest. The average annual temperature is 21 degrees Celsius making for an excellent climate. This park, located so close to the city of Monterrey, is an important natural landscape for this region. Activities include an open air gym, cycling, hiking (more than 50 miles of natural trails marked easy, moderate and difficult) and watching. The main attraction of this tour is the beautiful Cola de Caballo (horse tail) Waterfall. This tour is a must if you plan a visit to Monterrey. Cola de Caballo is a single waterfall, 25 metres high, located in Sierra Madre Oriental. It gets its name from the shape, similar to horse tail. Upon entering Cola de Caballo Park you may choose either to walk or to ride a horse or even to ride a carriage.
Vegetation in the park is lush and you will be able to buy local artefacts from vendors along the path. Once there, you will find paths and steps that will allow you to admire the fall from different points of view and to get close enough as to get wet (be prepared). At the end of the trail there is a restaurant serving nice meals and starters; however you may also choose to sit at one of the picnic tables along the river and near the fall.

Escursioni a Monterrey - Garcia Caverns
Escursioni a Monterrey: Have fun exploring the second-biggest caverns in the world, the Grutas de García. We will also visit the Pink house museum, the eye museum, the Garcia village, the Craft school, the traditional bakery and the Huasteca canyon.
Cerro del Fraile is located just outside the small town of García and 30km from Monterrey within the Cumbres de Monterrey National Park. The mountain reaches 1,080 metres above sea level and towers 750 metres over the main access road. The entrance to the caves is located on the side of Cerro del Fraile. You can reach the entrance either by aerial tramway or by hiking a steep trail.
The caves probably formed between 50 and 60 million years ago and the presence of marine fossils such as sea shells and snail shells indicates that they were submerged in sea water. Two different paths start at the entrance. The first one runs 2.5km and the second for 1km and they are full of stalagmites and stalactites.
El salón de la luz (The Light Chamber) is the most spectacular formation named after the natural clarity of the rock on the ceiling. Other formations include: La Octava Maravilla (the eighth wonder), El Salón Del Aire (the air chamber), El mirador De La Mano (the hand viewpoint), El Nacimiento (the nativity), La Fuente Congelada (the frozen fountain), La Torre China (the chinese tower), El Teatro (the theatre) and El Árbol de Navidad (the christmas tree).

Escursioni a Monterrey: The tourist complex called Termas de San Joaquin is nestled in the heart of the desert of Coahuila, in the municipality of Ramos Arizpe. This is well known all around the world. Termas de San Joaquin is a luxury hotel way out in the country and provides a unique experience in the thermal pool area in more ways than one. Before we get there we will visit Icamole town. A small community where Porfirio Diaz battle was liberated.
