Escursioni a Mombasa: This trip offers you an opportunity to enjoy the unspoilt Kenya Coast, the beautiful vistas over turquoise seas to the ecologically remarkable mangrove islands and an experience amongst the local Shirazi people. Arrive at the Bodo beach where the crew of the Arabian Dhow will take you on a cruise through Funzi Creek, passing uninhabited islands and natural mangrove forest. On Funzi Island, a visit to the historic fishing village which was formerly connected with the Slave trade and ruins which can still be seen. The tour continues with a visit of the village school, a private house and the market place. Continue to a unique sandbar which emerges from the sea on low tide. Here one can swim, or simply wander over the pure white sand in the middle of the sea. Continue to sail to the uninhabited island of Kinazini where a sumptuous Sea food lunch awaits with a selection for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. After lunch, proceed in canoes to the nearby Ramisi river to explore the numerous species of mangroves. You will have the rare opportunity to see crocodiles in the wild and many species of birds. Late afternoon cruise back to Bodo and transfer to your hotels. Depending on the tides, the tour can be reversed to visit the river first.

Escursioni a Mombasa: The town dates back to the 12th century when spice traders arrived from Arabia blown across on the Trade Winds. Visit the historic old quarter, dominated by the medieval Fort Jesus built by the Portuguese in the 16th Century, with its ancient mosques and narrow bustling streets, the old dhow harbour, souvenir shops and including a visit to the Akamba wood carvers where you have the opportunity to see the carvers at work and make some purchases. Lunch will be served at Tamarind Restaurant or on the Dhow. Then in the afternoon, visit Dr. Rene Haller's Nature Park (Haller Park), a former quarry now re-forested and transformed into a sanctuary for many animals including giraffes, hippos and giant tortoises.

Escursioni a Mombasa: Cruise on board a beautiful, double masted Arabian Style, named "Simba Ka Zaa" with spacious seating decks and bar all equipment is provided including cushions, towels, masks, snorkels, fins and diving equipment for divers. Traditionally dressed crew and captain serve a fresh fruit, cocktail to welcome you on board. Dolphin spotting, sailing and snorkeling/diving depending on tides. Guided snorkeling in protected waters´ guides safely showing the many varied fish and coral. Comfort and space to relax on board for guests not snorkeling for long. The accompanying dinghy carries glass bottomed viewers for any non snorkelers. Scuba diving is available (at a small supplement cost) for qualified and non-qualified. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy relaxing around the lazy lagoon pool, hewn from nature; or visit the island community project run by the ladies of the island and explore deep into the mangroves, returning to your hotels in the evening.
