Escursioni a Belgrade: Discover the world of Rakija, eau-de-vie that fueled Serbian history, still the most widely drank strong drink here and an essential part of many daily rituals.
Rakija is a general name for “brandies” distilled from various fruits that grow in great abundance in Serbia. The essential one is Šljivovica (plum brandy) of which Serbia is and has been the world’s leading producer for centuries, while other popular varieties include Lozovaa (from grapes), Jabukovaa (apple), Kajsijevaa (apricot), Dunjevaa (quince) etc. . .
We will try the selection of very best Serbian Rakijas in the specialized Rakija Bar where you will learn the essentials of its making and drinking but will also learn what food goes best with each Rakija from Rakija Bar’s own connoisseur. Immerse yourself in new smells and tastes while learning about the culture and local habits of Serbia!

Escursioni a Belgrade: Departure from Belgrade. Arrival in Topola and sightseeing tour of Topola and Oplenac, picturesque landscapes, valleys in the heart of Serbia which used to be holiday resorts and the place where the Serbian kings of the Karadjordjevic Dynasty were being buried. Visit to military museum, church, commemorative school and fountain which represents a memorial compound of buildings proclaimed for the protected cultural wealth. Lunch in a rural household in authentic local ambient with beautiful view on this region of Serbia called Sumadija.

Escursioni a Belgrade - Sightseeing of Belgrade
Escursioni a Belgrade: Join us in our two hours tour to see the most important sights, learn about town long history and get the feel of city life. Our guide will do his best to show you what locals do, what they like or dislike in this metropolis of 1.8 million people.
We will start from the buzzing Republic Square, city’s undisputed main square, where Belgraders meet “by the Horse”, the National Theatre and the National Museum. From there we move down the city’s main shopping street, Knez Mihailova, where we will walk past many imposing palaces of 19th c merchants and businessmen.
Turn around the corner and we find ourselves in a much calmer area surrounding the oriental Manor of Princess Ljubica, Orthodox Cathedral and “?” a lovely old café with the most intriguing name in the world. We continue along the leafy lanes of Kalemegdan Park to the Citadel, where layers of history meet with fantastic views across the confluence of river Sava into the mighty Danube.
Leaving the stories of medieval knights, the Ottomans, Habsburgs and their legacy behind we will walk through Dorol quarter with its tree lines streets and small cafés past the old stone Bajrakli Mosque to Studentski Trg, where students reign supreme in its park and grand faculty buildings. From here it’s only a short walk to Skadarlija, a pretty cobblestone street filled with restaurants serving Serbian food, where we will end our tour.
Meeting/ Pick up point: In front of your hotel (centrally located), otherwise meeting point is Rebublic Square.

Escursioni a Belgrade - Vojvodina’s Tour
Escursioni a Belgrade: As you move upstream the Danube River, this trip will reveal Vojvodina, the northern Serbian province, which distinguishes from the rest of Serbia. This tour will remind you of the importance of Danube through history, as it was mostly the border between great civilizations and the place where many battles took place in order for Christians to defend the Europe. Today, Danube is the river which connects people.
We will enjoy the peaceful ambience of Orthodox monasteries, wine tasting, beautiful view from Petrovaradin fortress and relaxed atmosphere in the city of Novi Sad. You will visit Monastery Krusedol from 16th c. on Fruška gora Mountain. Continuing to Sremski Karlovci – small baroque town on the Danube, famous for rich history and numerous wine cellars. Wine tasting in one of them. Continue to the most famous fortresses on Danube - Petrovaradin fortress. After that short walking sightseeing tour of Novi Sad and lunch at a restaurant in the city center. Departure to Belgrade at late afternoon hours. End of the program.
