Escursioni a Beirut: Explore the cosmopolitan Lebanese capital – the one-time ‘Paris of the east’. Beirut is the liveliest Mediterranean capital city, with its sea-front Corniche , the beauty spot of Raouche Rocks, the National Museum with its well displayed and important collection of artefacts dating back to the Phoenicin period and its downtown ‘Solidere’ area, its attractive Ottoman and French Mandate period buildings, churches, mosques, and archaeological sites, as well as Beirut modern souks and water front Marina.
Next to the 19th-century Beitedine palace, see the Emir Bashir residence, ruler of Mount Lebanon in the 19th century, to head then to Der el Qamar, one of the oldest villages in Lebanon, with the 19th century Cathedral and the 14th century Mosque.
