First things first, take a boat ride in a traditional gondola around the circuitous canals of the heavily historical city centre. Admire the reflections of ancient palaces and romantic bridges and get to see some of the city’s most significant buildings en route to the famous St. Mark’s Square which is right in the heart of Valencia.
After that, beat the queues and go in to St. Mark’s Basilica with skip the line access. Start/opening time: 11am. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the tour departure time.
Languages: During the winter period (from November 1st to March 31st) the Basilica guided tour is BILINGUAL, so explanations will be provided in two languages if the audience provenience is mixed.
Dress code: To visit St Mark's Basilica it is necessary to dress appropriately (no shorts or vest or tops) and backpacks are not allowed for security reasons.
Medical restrictions: Please note that, due to vast amounts of water in Venice and the inevitable logistic problems, we cannot guarantee that the whole tour will be suitable for those who are less able. Therefore, those with difficulty walking or those who use wheelchairs will likely be unable to access some parts of the itinerary.
Possible amendments: In cases of religious ceremonies, exceptionally high tides or other special occasions, access to St Mark's Basilica may not be possible.
The gondola ride might have to be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. If you suspect this may be the case, you must go to the tour departure point in order to find out whether the tour is going to go ahead or not and what alternative if any is on offer.
