Our world-class sanctuary represents conservation in action where a group of dedicated, marine wildlife-lovers help animals in need.
Dive into a day of discovery into Australia's diverse marine ecosystem. You will come face to face with Manly's spectacular marine species including sea turtles, majestic sharks, venomous fish species and giant stingrays to name a few. Some cute local characters are waiting to meet you at the recently added Penguin Cove exhibit, and you can take part in interactive experiences including the hands-on touch pool and educational presentations.
Gain an insight into the various scientific programs and other important work done by the Sanctuary. The enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sanctuary staff will entertain you with stories and fascinating facts. Our team is devoted to Australian wildlife, rescuing critically endangered and unwell animals and returning them to health with meticulous care. Rehabilitated animals are released back into their natural habitats, while some must remain at the Sanctuary under our care. We also undertake a number of successful breeding programs for the incredible species found in the waters around Sydney Harbour and the Northern Beaches, and work hard to protect these precious environments.
