A magical night of Afro-Brazilian culture: Discover the beautiful legacy Afro-Brazilians have left to the colourful country of Brazil with this invitation to a night of folkloric entertainment, from Samba de Roda to the age-old slave fighting technique capoeira. This show, an amalgam of African and Brazilian culture and all that was born in between, takes place at the stunning Bahia while under the cloak of night. But the show is not all you will be enjoying tonight; you also get the chance to feast on a hearty dinner of traditional Brazilian cuisine.
To embark on this unforgettable night of fun, magic and mystery, all you need do is wait for us to come pick you up from your hotel lobby and you will be promptly whisked to the astounding location where the show will unfold. You will count with a bilingual guide who will tell you all about the different dances and traditions you are about to witness, so as to make the show that much more enjoyable.
. The night’s entertainments are countless. Some of the visual delights you will see include the Candomble culture, an ancient animistic religion; the Maculele dance, traditionally practiced while brandishing a pair of sticks; the theatrical performance Puxada de Rede; and livelier dances such as the Danca do Caboclo and the famous Samba de Roda.
Last but not least, witness a demonstration of the ancient slave fighting art known as capoeira, which seems less of a fight than a choreographed dance. It will be a night of the highest pleasures.
