Contoy Island and Mujeres Island: We will set off on a relaxing 45 minutes voyage to Isla Contoy. During the crossing you will be entranced by the crystal clear waters and unsurpassable views. You will have the opportunity to go snorkeling at the marvelous Ixlache coral reef, considered to be the second largest of its kind in the world, where you can contemplate the beauty of its flora and fauna.
In mid-morning we will sail to the southernmost point of the Island where you can admire the lighthouse, the fishermen’s village, and the nests of frigate birds, pelicans and cormorants and if you’re lucky, you may even get to see eagle rays, manta rays, turtles and starfish. On landing at the Island we will visit the museum of flora and fauna, where you can enjoy spectacular views over the lagoon and spot some of the 250 species of bird that nest on the island.
You will also have another chance to go snorkeling. And after all this activity you’re bound to have worked up a healthy appetite so it’s time to enjoy a buffet brunch, consisting of roasted fish tikinchik style, chicken, guacamole, salad, rice and fresh fruit (drinks included). Then there’ll be plenty of time for you to rest and enjoy the sun, sea and sand. Afterwards it’s time to leave for another Caribbean Island, Isla Mujeres where you will have plenty of time to explore and maybe even do some shopping.
Meeting/pick-up point: Please make your way to the meeting point for pick up at Sr. Frogs, Muelle Ultramar, Avenida Benito Juárez, Centro, Playa del Carmen. at 7:45 am.
