If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work with Flipper or Salty the Sea Lion then the Miami Seaquarium Trainer for a Day is just perfect for you. The mysteries surrounding this most sought after profession will be revealed to you, from participation in training sessions to assisting with show set up and much, much more! The 8 hour programme gives you a rare glimpse at what it takes to be a Marine Mammal Trainer for a day.
As a marine mammal trainer you will work side by side with the team of professional Miami Seaquarium trainers, receiving training basics and orientations for the different marquee shows, assisting with daily show set-ups, watching and providing feedback on the shows, as well as helping with other essential activities. Working behind-the-scenes alongside our dolphin experts, you'll be in close contact with our resident Pacific Bottlenose dolphins throughout the entire day, while witnessing first-hand the intriguing world of marine mammal professionals.
This full-day programme also includes a Dolphin Odyssey, lunch with a trainer at Flipper Lagoon, photos, souvenirs and much more.
Duration: 8 hours.
Start/opening time: Seaquarium hours are approximately 10am to 6pm.
Others: Guests must swim competently, must be aged 16 year and over, b able to stand a minimum of 1 hour and be able to lift 30 pounds. No expecting mothers will be allowed to swim and no jewelry allowed in the pool.
