The Space Center opened in 1962 and was named in honor of President Kennedy after his assassination in 1963. Ever since, it has been a world of fun and excitement for all! The Visitors Complex has everything from real life artifacts to fascinating exhibits to attractions on the history and future of human and robotic spaceflight.
This trip consists of a lunch with a real life astronaut! Hear from a veteran NASA astronaut about what it’s really like to launch, live and work in space as you enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. See photos and videos from the astronaut’s missions, ask questions and snap a photo with your new astronaut friend! A wonderful and unique experience, you will leave feeling inspired and amazed!

Others: Admission to the visitors complex is not included and is required.
Lunch with an Astronaut is by reservation only - guests must call 5 days in advance to make a reservation.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers kennel service for pets for free. The kennel is available beginning at 9 am until park close. You may bring pet food, snacks, toys, blankets and water dishes for the pet's comfort. Please bring a valid government-issued ID to verify that you are picking up the correct pet. Kennels cannot be reserved in advance.
