Kailua Beach offers a great variety of SUP conditions, suitable for both beginners and experts. Visit off-shore islands and kilometres of sandy beach. Surf the seasonal waves or paddle to an enchanted lake. Over a mile of calm inland canals offer novices a chance to practise their balance and technique before heading out to open water. Kailua Beach also offers the best launch site to visit Flat Island, just a short paddle away. Land at a small cove on the island to take a break and explore this sea-bird sanctuary by foot.
Next, paddle along Lanikai's calm turquoise waters, with views of the coral reef, tropical fish and meandering sea turtles. For the experienced stand up paddler, SUP out to the Mokulua Islands for a real Hawaiian adventure! Free carts are provided to walk your SUP to Kailua Beach or racks to drive to Lanikai Beach. Whether you opt for a guided tour, with a 90-minute lesson and two hours of beach time, or a self-guided four-hour tour, stand up padding offers the perfect way to get fit and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.
