Ronda is a picture postcard city. Perched on a plateau, its 100 meter gorge divides the ancient city in two parts, connected by three bridges. Its romantic halo combined with its history and landscape invite you in for a leisurely and contemplative journey. What’s more, the mountains surrounding the city are brimming with ravines and gorges, worthy of a visit in themselves.
After picking you up from the hotel, we begin our journey to Ronda and its mountain range. Enjoy driving through lush green valleys, narrow gorges and prehistoric caves without missing a moment of the spectacular views. Our professional guides are also on hand to help you to interpret the nature around you. See the vultures soaring in the sky as we continue along the road towards Genal Valley, considered one of the most enchanting enclaves in the Ronda Mountains. Visit the peculiar blue village of Juzcar, also known as the Smurf Village, to admire its spectacular scenery, whose beauty transforms with the seasons and the Mediterranean light.
At lunchtime we make our way to a hidden mountain village. Enjoy three Andalusian dishes whilst learning more about the architecture and culture of the region, or even seeing an endangered species of Spanish fir tree: pinsapo.
The last stop on our route takes us to the “queen” of white villages: Ronda. Experience the inevitable feeling of vertigo and enjoy overwhelming views from the Tajo de Ronda – a gorge carved by the Guadalevina River and the bridge that has divided the medieval city since the 18th century. Stroll through the historic centre and visit the oldest bull ring in Spain. Explore every corner of this fascinating city in 4x4!
