Half Day South Tour with Timanfaya and La Geria: This half day excursion covers the main attractions of the south of Lanzarote. First we will visit one of the main natural attractions of the island, the Timanfaya Natural Park where there are over 300 volcanoes. This primitive landscape, almost like something from another planet, cannot fail to impress. You will be able to take all the photos you want as we cross the wild, rocky landscapes towards the summit of the Hilario’s Plateau.
There you will be witness to different geothermic experiments demonstrating the intense subterranean heat, how water is converted into steaming geysers and how bushes burst into flames and we will do a photo-stop on the place where the camels are (camel ride opportunity, not included in price).
Then we will visit La Geria, another zone affected by volcanic activity where you will be able to appreciate the ingenuity of the local people in making the most out of this arid landscape. Here, in Lanzarote’s main wine-growing region, you will be able to try some of the island’s finest wines at a free wine tasting. Return to the picking-up points.
