Spend two days in the heart of the magnificent Jungfrau region mountain world topped by a visit to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, listed by UNESCO as "World Heritage of the Swiss Alps". Choose your overnight stay in Interlaken or Grindelwald.
Option 1: Interlaken.
Interlaken, uniquely located between two lakes (Lake Thun and Lake Brienz), is known as the region's shopping paradise – the choices on offer are diverse, from regional produce to precious jewelry and watches. The popular holiday destination offers a wide variety of attractions and activities – why not enjoy a cruise on one of the lakes or pay a visit to Interlaken's home mountain Harder Kulm (optional activities). A cable car takes you to the top (not included) where you will be rewarded with splendid views of the surrounding area.
Option 2: Grindelwald.
Grindelwald, also named Eiger or Glacier Village, is nestled in an impressive Alpine landscape. A paradise not only for nature lovers! Hike one of the well prepared trails and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding impressive mountainscape including the world famous triple peaks Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau from one of the numerous lookout points. Experience a cable car ride to the sunny terrace of “Mt. First” or undertake a fun trottibike ride (optional activities, operating approx. mid May – mid October).
In the evening, various restaurants in Interlaken (resp. Grindelwald) await you for dinner (not included). With cuisine that ranges from trendy to authentic local food, folk music as well as ski lodges and bars that turn night into day, there is a broad variety of activities in Interlaken (resp. Grindelwald) just waiting to be discovered. Overnight stay including buffet breakfast at a 3* hotel.
Day 2 - Bernese Oberland, Zurich.
After enjoying the buffet breakfast at your hotel, you meet our tour guide at Interlaken Tourist Service (resp. Grindelwald-Grund train station) for the guided excursion to the Jungfraujoch - TOP OF EUROPE, the highlight of your Swiss holiday. Your luggage will be stored in the bus before we board the cogwheel train in Grindelwald for a spectacular ride via Kleine Scheidegg to Jungfraujoch. Stunning views of the Jungfrau region mountain panorama accompany you all the way to the top and the imposing Eiger North Face seems to be within one’s grasp.
Once at the top of Jungfraujoch, immerse yourself in the fascinating high-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. Watch through the big windows directly into the production hall and learn about the traditional production of Emmentaler AOP - the largest cheese in the world! Scenic coach journey from Zurich through beautiful countryside and along the Lake of the Four Cantons to Lucerne. On a short city tour, you visit the Lion Monument and your guide shows you the main sights of this charming town. Enjoy some time at leisure to explore the Old Town before the journey continues to Kriens. From there you take the panoramic gondolas and the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride" to the summit of Mt. Pilatus (2132m). At the summit, a breathtaking view over the surrounding mountains and lakes awaits you! Check-in at the hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. You may take a hike around the peak on a thrilling but secure footpath or climb to the top. In the evening, savour your welcome drink and a 3-course seasonal dinner in one of the restaurants. Day 2: Titlis
After enjoying the breakfast buffet, you descend on the world's steepest cogwheel railway (48% gradient) to Alpnachstad where you board the public train to Lucerne. Meet today's tour guide for the excursion to Mt. Titlis for a world of eternal snow and ice! Coach ride to Engelberg where the breath-taking ascent by the Titlis Xpress cable car begins. Enjoy spectacular sights of the glacier's deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from the revolving cable car ROTAIR. At the top of Mt. Titlis a high alpine panorama awaits you. Enjoy the magnificent views of the Alps from the sun terrace, visit the Glacier Cave and take a ride with the Ice Flyer chairlift. Enjoy snow activities at the Glacier Park and cross Europe’s highest suspension bridge, the Cliff Walk! In the late afternoon, journey back via Lucerne to Zürich. November to early May: Ascent to Mt. Pilatus unescorted. Descend again by cable car instead of cogwheel train and public bus ride to Lucerne. Additional lunch on the first day is included!

Zurich Excursions & Tours: This full-day excursion to the Alps is a clarion call to all lovers of the great outdoors. You will see some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet as you discover mountain passes, rivers, gorges, lakes, glaciers, tunnels, forests, valleys and much more.
We’ll journey south, crossing the Brünig Pass at 1,000 metres above sea level to begin our ascent of the Bernese Oberland for our first stop: the awe-inspiring Aare Gorge. Dwarfed by the steep cliff faces, walk through the gorge on a secure footbridge that meanders along this stunning setting. If you though this natural adventure could not be bettered after this, then think again because it hits new heights as we cross the Grimsel Pass to reach the Totensee, or ‘lake of the dead’, at almost 2,200 metres.
Our next destination is the Rhone glacier, where you will enjoy one of the standout highlights of the day: the Ice Tunnel. This 100-metre-long passage chiselled into the glacier becomes bluer the deeper you go as you reach the ‘Ice Chamber’. We’ll continue on to the Furka Pass, which gives us access to the spectacular Saint-Gotthard Massif. We’ll pass the tiny hamlet of Realp on our way through the Urseren Valley as we head for the Schöllenen Gorge.
It is famed as the site of the legendary Devil’s Bridge, which was proving so hard to build that Satan himself had to be asked to lend a hand.

We begin with a brief city tour of the main sights, taking in the Renaissance-style town hall, the 17th century Jesuit church – regarded as Switzerland’s first baroque religious building – the futuristic Culture and Congress Centre and the the Lion Monument, which was described by Mark Twain as ‘the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world’. We’ll also visit to the symbol of Lucerne: the Chapel Bridge, a diagonal wooden structure dating from 1333 and featuring a series of gable paintings.
You will then have some time to explore the city at your own leisure. Admire the frescoed façades and fairytale turrets of the car-free Old Town. We suggest a visit to the city walls, the Transport Museum or the Rosengart Museum, where works by the artists such as Picasso and Paul Klee are exhibited. Delight yourself with a romantic boat trip on the lake or hop aboard the City Train (from April to October only) or simply take it all in with a stroll along the river or shopping in the medieval streets.

Our adventure continues on the road to Rapperswil, famed for its medieval castle, and on to the green and hilly region of Appenzell. In the village of Stein, you will visit the cheese factory where the famous Appenzeller cheese is made. Learn more about the cheese making and the ancient traditions of the region.
The excursion hits new heights when we head to Brülisau for a cable car ride to the peak of the 1,800-metre-high Hoher Kasten. From a viewing platform, you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking views over the gently rolling hills of the Appenzellerland, the Rhine Valley and the Austrian region of Vorarlberg. Take a walk through the Alpine Garden and visit the spectacular revolving restaurant (lunch is not included).

Zurich Excursions & Tours: Feel on top of the world at the summit of Mount Pilatus, with this fascinating full-day guided tour to one of the most famous peaks in the Alps.

We’ll take the panoramic gondolas and aerial cableway to reach the top, which is more than 2,000 metres above sea level. Enjoy the spectacular view over the surrounding mountains and lakes, stop for a bite to eat or hike to the summit.
The descent involves yet another adventure as you board the world's steepest rack railway (48% gradient) to reach the lakeside hamlet of Alpnachstad, from where we’ll board a ferry for a scenic one-hour lake cruise to Lucerne.

Driving north from Zurich towards the German border, you will pass a stunning lower Alpine landscape that is famed for its vineyards. We’ll cross the picture-postcard village farming village of Marthalen. Almost every building appears to be a traditional whitewashed half-timbered house.
In Schaffhausen, the town closest to the falls, you will see the 16th century Munot Fortress atop a hill overlooking the old town, which boasts a series of frescoed Renaissance façades.
By now your appetite will have been whetted in expectation of the main event: the stunning Rhine Falls. When Frankenstein author Mary Shelley visited the falls, she described them as ‘exceeding anything I had ever before seen’. More than 160 years later, the sensation is the same for many visitors. Some of the views of the falls are simply jaw dropping. Allow yourself to be thrilled by this awe-inspiring natural phenomenon. As an optional extra, you can reach the rock in the middle of the falls by boat and get right into the breathtaking falls.

Zurich Excursions & Tours: Join us for an epic full-day guided tour on land, water and air to Mount Rigi, from where you can enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes imaginable.
From Zurich we will take you on a scenic coach journey through picturesque countryside via the Albis Pass and along the shores of the Lake of the Four Forested Cantons (as Lake Lucerne is romantically called in German.
We continue our journey to Weggis, the picture-postcard lakeside village nestling at the foot of the 1,800-metre-high Mount Rigi. We’ll take a cable car to Rigi Kaltbad, where we’ll hop aboard Europe’s oldest mountain railway for a panoramic journey to Rigi-Kulm. Enjoy breathtaking views over the surrounding mountains and 13 lakes. During the summer you can hike to the summit or in the winter, you can hire a sledge.
The descent involves yet another adventure as you board a rack railway (25% gradient) to reach the idyllic hamlet of Vitznau, which occupies a narrow strip of land between the lake and the mountain. We’ll board a ferry for a scenic one-hour lake cruise to Lucerne.
You will then have some time to explore the narrow streets of the Old Town at your own leisure; admire the frescoed façades, fairytale turrets, and marvel at the wooden Chapel Bridge before returning to Zurich.

Enjoy the spectacular sight of the glacier’s deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from the revolving gondola lift, allowing you an unrestricted 360-degree view of the landscape.
At the top of Mount Titlis, a high alpine panorama awaits you. Enjoy magnificent views of the Alps from the restaurants or the sun terrace. Visit the shimmering 350-metre-long Ice Grotto or take a ride with the IceFlyer, which brings you close to the crevasses.
