Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours: The three granite Towers that give Torres del Paine National Park its name are the dominant feature of the landscape and can be appreciated from many different angles and many viewpoints around the park. This guided trekking is one of the most iconic treks in Patagonia and will lead you to the turquoise glacial pool at the very foot at the Towers themselves.
The trek will take you along stunning valleys and over small streams, while there is always the chance of spotting condors floating on the thermals. Towards the end of the valley the path becomes hard work as you climb up to the look out, it is best compared to climbing up an even staircase of several hundred steps. This can be exhausting but worth the because when you reach the top the view is indescribable.

Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours - Full Day Torres del Paine National Park
Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours: Ride along the coastal road to take route Nº9 to head over the first stop: the millennial Cueva del Milodón, a huge natural feature where the primitive men and the mylodon allegedly inhabited. Here, a small walk to see its beauty and history. Afterwards, the village Cerro Castillo, a great livestock farm that in the past belonged to the reminded Sociedad Explotadora Tierra del Fuego, to make a 30-minute stop. Along the road among Patagonian farms, entry to Torres del Paine National Park, a true sight where guanacos, condors and rheas often accompany the beautiful views of the park.
Visit to all the high spots of the park, including Lake Nordenskjold and Pehoé and the beautiful waterfall Salto Grande, where the guests will do a short hike of about 30 minutes to get closer and contemplate and sightseeing of lakes, rivers and the great variety of flora and fauna.
Then, a stop for lunch at the park and, during the afternoon, the journey continues to the last stop: Grey Lake and Glacier, which is a part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Here, a beautiful walk through lenga beech woods to the shore of this amazing lake, to observe the beauty of the icebergs, their shapes and colors before every visitor.

Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours - Navigation to Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers
Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours: Explore Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers, sailing through the Ultima esperanza fjord, then enjoy a typical Magellanic lunch at our ranch before heading back to Puerto Natales.
Weigh anchor to visit the Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers from the wharf in Puerto Natales in the morning, sailing next to the coast to go into in the sine surrounded by hills and forests, where if the conditions of the climate allows it, the sea elephants can be seen resting on the rocks and hundreds of cormorants ventilating their extended wings.
After 3 hours of navigation you arrive at Balmaceda hill (2,035 ms), with its summit covered with ice that falls in colossal snow drifts to the sea.
The boat comes near the Balmaceda snowdrift and stops in the Serrano snowdrift, where you land for a walk in the forest until the border of the lagoon full of icebergs and with a wonderful view of the hills and the Ultima Esperanza sine. Then we´ll make a stop at Perales Ranch, for a traditional Patagonian Lamb. The return to the wharf is made bordering the opposite shore of the sine.

Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours - Sailing Balmaceda & Serrano Glaciers in Zodiac
Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours: In Puerto Chaitén, in Serrano area, introduction of the rafts and revising the excursion of 40 km (24 mi) on Serrano river. Navigation towards El Salto, place to disembark and walk for about 15 minutes to the viewpoint of Donoso Hill and the waterfall of Serrano River. Later, boarding on another raft to continue navigating towards Monte Balmaceda. During the trip, stop to enjoy a privileged view of Tyndall Glacier. For the last part of the nagivation, visit to Monte Balmaceda to observe the glacier with the same name and, then, landing at Puerto Toro for a one-hour walk, round trip, by the shore of the Témpanos Lagoon, through a native forest of Dombey’s beeches, Antarctic beech and Chilean firetrees to Serrano Glacier. Here, boarding on Agunsa Orca and Agunsa Tonina to continue sailing to Puerto Natales to have a cocktail and a snack. Lunch en route. Return to Puerto Natales.
The catamaran Agunsa Orca and Lancha Tonina begin their navigation on Canal Señoret to Monte Balmaceda, while the guests have breakfast on board. The first high spot is the Frigorífico Bories Historical Monument. The Sociedad Explotadora Tierra del Fuego founded this cold-storage plant in 1913; and for over 60 years, it was the most important slaughterhouse in the area. Going further on the fiord, the tour goes to Guanaco Island to see the small and wonderful Magellanic dolphins or toninas. Later, through Margot Farm, access to Pared de Cormorantes, home for a great amount of rock shags (Magellanic cormorants). Trip to Punta de Lobos, home for sea lions. Then, a visit to the waterfalls and cliffs to observe condors.
The journey continues to Monte Balmaceda, to first observe the glacier with the same name. Later, landing in Puerto Toro to begin a one-hour walk, round trip, by the shore of Témpanos lagoon, through a native forest of Dombey’s beeches, heading to Serrano glacier. The tour retakes Serrano river, which has about 40 km long (24 mi) and joins the fiord with Torres del Paine. This river gets its water from the melting of Grey, Tyndall, Geike and Balmaceda glaciers. During navigation, stop to enjoy a privileged sight of the Tyndall gralier. Arrival to waterfall sector, 15-minute walk to change boats and continue excursion. Arrival to final destination: Puerto Chaitén in Serrano area to enjoy a delightful loca lunch in a quincho.

Puerto Natales Excursions & Tours: Travel into the 181,000 hectares Torres del Paine National Park, a mountain wonderland of gorgeous valleys, glaciers, lakes and rivers. As the Park central piece Los Cuernos del Paine arises, extremely popular among hikers, trails lead throughout Torres del Paine’s awe-inspiring scenery.
We will start visiting Milodon Cave, a natural monument notable for the 1896 discovery of a giant ground sloth inside called Mylodon darwinii. A life size replica of the prehistoric creature, resembling a large bear, stands at the entrance. Several caves are accessible for us to visit with incredible stalactite formations as well as the rock formation Silla del Diablo, Spanish for “Devil’s Chair. ” Next we arrive at Castillo Hill (Castle Hill) where we’ll stop at a lovely villa before entering the park, traveling along Sarmiento Lake with its breathtaking natural beauty. We then continue along Nordenskjold Lake, Salto Grande Waterfall and the Grey Lake.
We will stop at Hosteria Pehoé, where we will enjoy lunch (included) in front of the homonym turquoise waters lake. Then we will head to the Gray Sector to visit the enormous glacier that feeds the lake. Here we will take a short walk on the shore of the lake to admire the giant ice floes. We will head back toward Puerto Natales through Amarga Lagoon along a route with great views of the Paine Towers, the perfect end to a pleasant day journeying through this enchanting Chilean icon.
