Livingstone Excursions & Tours - Chobe Day Trip
Livingstone Excursions & Tours: This is full day safari in the Chobe National Park in Botswana. From Livingstone town, It is approximately 1 hr. drive to the Zambia and Botswana border where your guide with assist you with border formalities. You are later transferred on a ferry across the Zambezi River. The river crossing is approximately 5 minutes. Included on the day tour is a river safari, lunch at a lodge and a game drive. The Chobe National park is home to elephants, Lions, buffalo and many other game and bird species. After the tour, transfers are provided back to your lodge.

Livingstone Excursions & Tours: Departure time from lodges/hotels in Livingstone town is at 06:30 am and 15:30 pm. The safari takes 3 hr and drives through the wildlife sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi river. The Mosi O Tunya National park seats on a 66 square kilometer radius. It is the smallest of Zambia’s national parks, and home to the white Rhinos in Zambia. Animals seen on the drive may include Elephants, Cape Buffalo's, Widerbeast, Zebra, Kudu, waterbuck and many more. Bottled water is provided on the drive.

Livingstone Excursions & Tours: Livingstone city was named after the Scottish explorer Dr. David Livingstone. The culture, lifestyle and history of Livingstone city are unique. Your guide will show you around the cities colonial architecture, markets and museum.
Originally known as the Old Drift, Livingstone City owes its existence mainly to the Victoria Falls. It was founded in 1905 away from the swampy banks of the Zambezi River. In 1911 it became the capital of the Northern Rhodesia, today called Zambia. When the capital was moved to Lusaka in 1935, Livingstone retained its status as the “Tourist Capital” as well as its colonial character.
History lovers find Livingstone town alive. Many antebellum are still in use to this day, some of which still function as originally intended.
The town has preserved much of its colonial character, but is a typical town with a busy charm. Walking around the Markets of Livingstone, notice how the locals interact with each other and how they go about daily business. Experience the friendliness of the people of Livingstone.
The museum has a wide memorabilia of the Scottish explore, Dr David Livingstone as well as arts and history of the various Zambian tribes and cultures.

Livingstone Excursions & Tours: This is a working village and gives guests the opportunity to experience how local Zambian live in a village. You get to meet and talk with the friendly villagers, learn how their huts (homes) are built and decorated, and see the locals at work creating curios.
Mukuni village previously known as “Gundu” was founded in the 13th century and later named after the ruler (Mukuni). It is home to the Leya people.
