Bodrum Excursions & Tours: This 2 day tour covers two of Turkey’s most spectacular sights, combining Ephesus, home to the largest collection of Roman ruins in the eastern Mediterranean and one of the world’s best-preserved archaeological sites and the natural wonder that is Pamukkale (Cotton Castle).
After being picked up from the hotel early in the morning, there’s a short breakfast stop before heading on for Ephesus, set in the hills above the Aegean coast. With the help of the professional guide to invoke the history of this fascinating city, it is like stepping into a 2,000 year-old time warp. Wander marble-paved streets lined with fountains, temples and baths where mosaics and frescoes still decorate the walls of the ancient Roman houses. The tour leaves for Pamukkale driving through some typical Turkish towns and villages and open countryside, arriving the 4 star hotel. The evening begins with an open buffet dinner held on the hotel’s terrace with fantastic views of the calcium pools on the mountain side and entertainment is provided by a belly dancer around the pool bar.
Following breakfast on the second day, the tour leaves the hotel for a short visit to Hierapolis, once a Roman city, which has an impressive amphitheatre and large burial ground known as the necropolis and is located above Pamukkale’s terraces. Bodrum Excursions & Tours - Fishing Tour
Bodrum Excursions & Tours: Even though the Bodrum Peninsula is surrounded by water on three sides, it’s surprising how little sport or recreational fishing opportunities there are available. Most of the excursion companies around the Peninsula offer “Fishing Trips”, but the only location available is Torba.
This is by no means a sports fishing excursion, it is more of a relaxing day, aimed at the part-time or novice angler. But if you are hankering for a little bit of aquatic “Man vs. Wild” – this trip could be for you.

Bodrum Excursions & Tours: Spend a day cruising around Turkey’s glorious Bodrum Peninsula on a full-day cruise from Bodrum! Soak up the scenery from out on deck and admire the region’s sun-drenched shoreline framed by forests and hills. The route taken on the relaxing cruise includes several stops for swimming, snorkeling and walking, plus a visit to Kara Ada, a gorgeous yachting island that’s known for its mineral-dense waters. Lunch is served roughly halfway through the day.
HIGHLIGHTS:
* Buffet lunch included
* Free hotel pickup and drop-off included
* Travel by boat and see the sights from the water
Start your day with a pickup from your centrally located Bodrum hotel, and then travel by minivan to the port. Step aboard your hydrofoil boat and take a seat out on deck as you cruise away from the city and around some of Turkey’s most unspoiled stretches of coastline. The exact route taken depends on the sea conditions on the day of your cruise, but it will always take in several of the beautiful sheltered bays and pine-fringed beaches that personify the Bodrum Peninsula.
Enjoy frequent stops to swim, snorkel and top up your tan. Perhaps take a book with you to read in the sun, or simply sit back and ogle the scenery as you cruise from cove to cove. Kara Ada — or Black Island — is a site that is always taken in on your cruise, so enjoy a stop to bathe in the grotto and see if its mineral waters enhance your complexion, as legend suggests. The island is a popular stop-off on cruises around Turkey’s so-called Turquoise Coast, so look out for swanky yachts and gulets (traditional Turkish sailing boats) bobbing around the island’s chic shores.
Roughly halfway through the day, enjoy a stop for lunch, cooked on board by your crew. Meals vary, but typically include a fresh salad, grilled chicken and rice or pasta. After exploring the scenic coastline of the Bodrum Peninsula, start cruising back to Bodrum. On arrival at the city’s port, swap from your hydrofoil to your minivan, and finish your day trip with a drop-off at your Bodrum hotel.
Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at the hotel.
Start/opening time: At 10am.
End/closing time: At 4:30pm.
Languages: English.

The tour stops on the way at the ancient site of Euromos to look at the well preserved Zeus Temple which nestles at the base of a hill not far from the road. Standing alone, this temple is one of the best preserved classical temples in the country, having sixteen columns still standing.
After Euromos, the tour moves on to Herakleia the remains of which are scattered amongst the present-day village houses by the lakeside. This is a rustic spot overlooked by Mt Latmos with donkeys and hens running around and women dressed in the traditional clothes worn in the Turkish countryside.

Bodrum Excursions & Tours - Private Turgutreis Market Day
Bodrum Excursions & Tours: Taste the real Turkey and visit an authentic Turkish market, full of local flavour, and sample a delicious lunch at a renowned fish restaurant in Gümü?lük. Turgutreis (formerly the village of Karatoprak, before being renamed in 1972 in honour of the Turkish seaman Turgut Reis who was born here in 1485) is the second largest town in the Bodrum peninsula and is 20 kilometres from Bodrum. It is located in a rich valley planted with orchards and vegetable gardens, making the town a centre for agricultural commerce. The town is also a popular holiday destination with its 5 kilometres of sandy beaches, waterfront restaurants and bars.
The market on Saturday attracts many visitors from the surrounding areas and is a very busy and bustling example of a Middle Eastern market with a western touch. Haggling is a must in Turgutreis, as in most bazaars in the world, so make sure you get the best possible price for your money.
The produce offered by the vendors varies from a full range of in-season fruit and vegetables, to a huge selection of local delicacies like goat’s milk, yogurt, cheese and olives, as well as all the ingredients needed to make a traditional Turkish Meze.
You will also find a large variety of clothing items in the market, including a host of imitation brands which are cheaper alternatives to the more expensive originals.
Meeting point: Collection from hotel. Miscellaneous Information: The market stall holders take Euros, British Sterling and the Turkish Lira.
Your private tour will include transfers from and to your hotel, departing at 8.30am, and a lunch in a famous fish restaurant in Gümü?lük.

Bodrum Excursions & Tours - Turkish Bath
Bodrum Excursions & Tours: Relax into your holiday and kick-start your tan with a Turkish bath or hammam. Hammams have existed in Turkey since ancient times, providing locals with a way to relax, freshen up and catch up with gossip all at the same time. They are also brilliant for exfoliating your skin so you are more likely to develop a lasting tan.
Everything starts when we take you to one of the best local hammams. Here, you will change into your swimwear in a cubicle and wrap up in a towel. Then it is off to the hammam itself - a humid, marble-tiled room with a ”gobektasi”, or heated stone slab, in the centre. Relax as the heat softens your skin, opens your pores and gets you sweating out those toxins. Next, you will lie on the gobektasi, where you will be treated to a body scrub followed by a head-to-toe massage in soft, soapy bubbles.
Then there will be plenty of time to rinse off and cool down before returning back to your hotel feeling tingling and refreshed. This exclusive hammam experience includes a 20 minute oil massage. This half-day excursion includes hotel pick up and drop off, all transfers, sauna, hammam, peeling, soap, and soap massage. Guests with skin disorders should inform the excursion department. Pregnant women and asthmatics should seek medical advice beforehand. Please note that the hammam has mixed (male/female) and separate sections. You should not bring valuables with you.
Meeting/pick-up point: Pick-up from hotels.
Duration: Half day.
