But the show is not all you will be enjoying tonight; you also get the chance to feast on a hearty dinner of traditional Brazilian cuisine.
To embark on this unforgettable night of fun, magic and mystery, all you need do is wait for us to come pick you up from your hotel lobby and you will be promptly whisked to the astounding location where the show will unfold. You will count with a bilingual guide who will tell you all about the different dances and traditions you are about to witness, so as to make the show that much more enjoyable.
. The night’s entertainments are countless. Some of the visual delights you will see include the Candomble culture, an ancient animistic religion; the Maculele dance, traditionally practiced while brandishing a pair of sticks; the theatrical performance Puxada de Rede; and livelier dances such as the Danca do Caboclo and the famous Samba de Roda.
Last but not least, witness a demonstration of the ancient slave fighting art known as capoeira, which seems less of a fight than a choreographed dance. It will be a night of the highest pleasures.

Mangue Seco is a small fishing village located among Mangrove swamps on the edge of a peninsula between the River Reial and the Atlantic Ocean. The settlement is not accessible by road so the fun starts when the expedition crosses the river in traditional canoes in a 30-minute ride.
Once on the other side of the river, board beach buggies for a crazy 40-minute rollercoaster ride around the sand dunes. There’ll be plenty of stops to make photographs and the ride will finish at one the best beaches in the region with fine white sand. Lie back in a hammock as you enjoy the sun and the sound of the Atlantic breakers or explore the sand dunes.
After lunch at any of the local traditional restaurants (not included) head for Casa Tieta, the home of a character from an extremely popular Brazilian soap opera based on a novel by famous author Jorge Amado. Here you’ll have the opportunity to try some of the region’s renowned ice-cream before crossing the river again and returning to the hotel.

Your day begins at the Barra Lighthouse; an ancient white construction, it is the most iconic building of the coastal neighbourhood of Barra. After meandering around that beautiful area, continue en route to the Historical Centre, otherwise known as Pelourinho. Along the way, pass by a variety of magnificent buildings, such as the Castro Alves Theatre, the age-old Sao Pedro Fort and the famous Castro Alves Square.
As you arrive in Salvador’s magical historical centre, delve into the many stories that hide behind every street. Alongside your charismatic guide, you will learn all about the history of the neighbourhood and even get in on the local know-how. This district is filled with more than a thousand homes, churches and monuments that stand since as far back as the 16th century. At the end of the day, you can go to sleep with the satisfaction of having set eyes upon the greatest collection of Baroque architectural heritage in Latin America.

On the idyllic island of Tinhare there is a bay of un-surmounted beauty: the Bay of Camamu. It is in this bay that we find the goal of our journey, the Morro de Sao Paulo, one of the most astounding beaches in the whole of the Brazilian coastline.
This enchanting local features beaches of the finest white sand; mesmerizingly clear waters, like liquid skies; and a many exciting tide pools that swirl with a life of their own. You will feel like you have left Earth far behind you and that you are lying on the very beaches of heaven.
To get there, we first head towards the quaint Sao Joaquim, a mere bus ride away from Valenca. From there we take a fun speedboat for the ride to this earthly Eden that attracts thousands of people from all over the world every year. Once there, forget all about your day to day worries and simply go with the flow.
We will visit and explore all of the most splendid beaches in the area, enjoy a dip in the crystal-clear waters and make good use of the many facilities provided. By the end of the day you will not want to leave the Morro de Sao Paulo; after all, once we touch the sky, how can earth possibly compare?

With its charming old town, a vibrant musical scene and popular Carnival celebrations with strong African influence, it is considered to be the cultural capital of Brazil. We’ll visit Dique do Tororo, with its images of Afro-Brazilian Orixas, the Lower City, the Forte de Mont Serrat, the Lacerda Elevator and the Mercado Modelo craft market.
The tour begins at the Dique de Tororo where you can admire the impressive sculptures of the Orixas, syncretic afro-Brazilian deities, by local artist Tati Moreno. We’ll also be able to see the outside of the impressive Fonte Nova football stadium, one of the venues for the 2014 World Cup. Next we’ll go down to the Lower City for a visit to the magnificent 18th Century Church of Nosso Senhor de Bonfim, an important pilgrimage site.
We’ll continue to the Forte of Mont Serrat, one of Bahia’s oldest fortresses where you enjoy breath-taking views over the city and out to the Atlantic Ocean. From here we’ll make a short stop at the Mercado Modelo craft market where you can stock up on hand-made souvenirs, including good luck charms and musical instruments.
The tour ends with a visit to the Elevador Lacerda, a beautifully restored Art Deco elevator connecting the Cidade Alta with the port and market. Do not miss the 17th Century Town hall with its impressive arches, just opposite, before returning to the hotel.

The town is well-stocked with shops and boutiques and it’s worth snapping up some of the local handicrafts.
Then after lunch in a traditional restaurant, if you wish you can also visit the nearby Tamar Project, a national sea-turtle conservation programme (admission not included). We’ll also stop at dreamy Praia de Guarajuba beach and Aibaté lagoon for a memorable swim before catching the bus for the relaxing drive back to Salvador de Bahia. A great day out for all the family!
